ScaleUp 360° Big Data / 9th & 10th March 2021 / Online

Presentation "From Data Warehouse and Data Lakes up to Multi-Cloud Data Lakes – challenges and solutions" (German)

Speaker: Toma Buchinsky, CEO and Data Architect

Presentation time: Wed, 10th March 2021, 12:30 - 01:00 p.m.

On-premise Data Warehouses and Data Lakes have long been the default solution for data management. Many companies have made large investments in expanding their data platforms. With the upcoming transformation to the cloud, driven also by the "elimination" of conventional (outdated) technology platforms, the current challenge is called migration. In our presentation we will look at upcoming challenges when migrating to a modern cloud environment and show how you can master them skillfully. In order to not lose sight of issues such as flexibility, room for maneuver and investment protection, we will also take a look at possible cloud vendor lock-ins.
